FEDE AMEGLIO
Dyslexic and with attention deficit (Ritalin kid), I managed to become a certified public accountant through sheer determination and effort, despite some stumbles along the way.
In my professional career, I first developed in the financial sector from 2000 to 2005 at the firm BG&V (Bado, Guerra y Vargas) Financial Services.
Subsequently, I entered the audiovisual field because I thought this profession was the most similar to that of a rock star without the need to know how to play an instrument – something I attempted repeatedly as a child with the guitar and electric bass, never progressing beyond “Yellow Submarine.” In 2008, I emigrated to Buenos Aires with my wife Dolores to focus on executive production, achieving extraordinary results by filming for the most prestigious companies in the market (Quilmes, Telefónica, Volkswagen, Banco Ciudad, Banco Supervielle, HSBC, Santander, among others) and gaining recognition in local and international festivals (Cannes Festival, Ojo de Iberoamérica, Lapiz de Platino, etc.).
In December 2014, our first daughter, Guadalupe, was born. Along with this event, we decided to return to our beloved country, Uruguay, so that I could dedicate myself to production services. Since then I have managed to work with the most prestigious international production companies and directors, including Saigon, Stink, Central Films, Rebolucion, Primo, Argentina Cine, among others.
In 2021, I decided to start my own production company. Fortunately, the production director with whom I worked for six years and on countless projects, proposed to be my partner. She is also my perfect professional complement. I discovered that I am passionate about this profession – a vocational test at 17 had suggested it, but I either ignored it or didn’t know how to interpret it clearly.
I can say that my greatest attribute is that I feel absolute LOVE when producing and can do it for hours. When I finish a project, I experience an indescribable feeling of satisfaction and well-being… It’s as if, in that moment, I feel COMPLETE.
I am not a cinephile; I haven’t seen all the cult films, I am not independent cinema lover, nor am I an avid reader of novels. But I am very good at interpreting the needs and requirements to film a story and do not stop until I achieve the best production design in all areas.

VERO BERTA
I have always been very curious about the audiovisual world, and perhaps that’s why I decided to study Communication Sciences.
Almost unintentionally, in 1998, I entered an advertising agency (FCB UY) as an intern, and shortly after, I became a permanent staff member in the agency’s production department. I stayed there for five years and have fond memories of that time and friends I still keep to this day.
In 2003, I switched to “the production side”, and since then, I have worked as a line producer for the local market and mainly for international clients. I highlight production services for clients such as Coca Cola Worldwide, Gillette Latam, P&G Worldwide, The Clorox Company, Renault Brazil, Gol, Toyota USA, and Burger King, Globant, Mercado Libre among others.
What I like about advertising is the immediacy with which a project is created and goes on air. The final product is tangible in a short time, which gives the work a kind of vertigo and craziness that I haven’t found in other fields.
I feel privileged to be able to work in a field I am passionate about, and I always do it with a lot of dedication and care.
Over the years, I had the good fortune to meet Fede Ameglio, an executive producer, and as of last year, my partner at Metanoia. I believe we make a great team, very different, but complementary at the same time.
DOLORES GARI
I have a Degree in Economics, and since I graduated in 2004 I worked in Private Banking , Investor Office Group (Consultatio) . Later on I moved on to the Energy industry and worked for 5 year at Pampa Energia. It was then when Fede ( My husband) and Vero decided to create Metanoia and asked me to take care of the numbers, which I was happy to help at first working at night…
It took me a couple of months to find myself all taken by Metanoia and was then when I decided I should step all in at this new industry. I find the audiovisual industry so much fun, with a lot of rhythm, your days are never the same. I could never go back to valuating to portfolios trading and asset management.
PIO FILGUEIRA RISSO
At the end of the 90s in Argentina, when I left school at noon, I would go to lunch at my grandmother’s, a few blocks away. I ate as quickly as possible and escaped to the back room to watch MTV and VH1, I was fascinated by music and video clips, I knew every band and every video that was around at the time.
The famous and replicated phrase “Jack of all trades, master of none” never worked for me. From video clips I went on to study guitar (I continue to this day), then to sound design, I studied music production, from there I continued with cinema, production, scriptwriting and direction. I have an immense curiosity that has always led me to be interested in all areas of audiovisual production, to cover and focus on each one of them.
In my professional career I developed myself in production, both in advertising and film (alternated with sporadic jobs as a sound engineer, locationist and camera assistant). I worked for brands such as Coca cola, Colgate, Pure leaf, Renault, among several others. In film I worked with Martín Rodriguez Redondo in his short film “Las liebres” (Historias Breves 12) and in his debut feature “Marylin” (Berlinale Panorama 2018) and with Siew Hua Yeo (Golden Leopard Winner Locarno 2018). On the other hand, and following this multifaceted line, I wrote, presented and developed documentary and fiction projects that have been presented at international festivals and have won different awards (márgenes MADRID, BAFICI, Mar del Plata, Historias Breves INCAA). I was part of the 19th edition of the Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires.
Luck, determination and a call from Fede brought me from Europe to Uruguay to join Metanoia.
I feel privileged, Metanoia is the perfect environment and human group to develop, build and produce diverse and quality audiovisual content.
LUCHO
My love for this industry begins thanks to my love for music. As a child I loved listening to my favorite songs while I imagined a suitable videoclip for them, listening to “Jump” by Van Halen and imagining people running down the street and a camera chasing them, singing, jumping, running. Acting along with the song.
That love developed until one day my grandfather gave me his old Rolleiflex, instantly discovering my passion for photography. I dedicated myself to traveling around Montevideo with my camera under my arm until in 2013 I started working at a local magazine as a press/social photographer.
In my two years as a photographer, I traveled the entire country from top to bottom. Each day was about going to a new place, whether it was a government building, an exhibition, parks or fields, vineyards or lagoons, there was no corner of Uruguay I didn’t visit. After two years I left my job as a journalist to found YUBI with a friend, a directing duo dedicated to the creation of fashion films. During that time I worked with all the relevant fashion brands in the country and some from Argentina until in 2018 I received a call from Fede inviting me to work with him as a production assistant in the world of commercials. It was love at first sight.
I dedicated myself to producing commercials of all types, sizes and colors. I also worked as a VTR and camera assistant until 2021 when, again, Fede invited me to be part of the Metanoia team. Since then there have been years of tremendous personal and business growth accompanied by a motivated team that always aims for excellence and with a clear objective: enjoy the path we choose to travel
That’s why I bet on Metanoia every day, because I know that the only way to do things well is to enjoy them while we do them.
